Online Pre-Licensing Education Course- California
Real estate salesperson licensee candidates in California are required to take a minimum of 135 hours of license training:
- California Real Estate Principles (45 hours, required topic)
- California Real Estate Practice (45 hours, required topic)
- One 45-hour Real Estate Elective topic

How to obtain a real estate license in California
To obtain a real estate salesperson license, you must first qualify for and pass a written examination. Those who pass the examination are provided a license application that must be submitted to and approved by the California Department of Real Estate (DRE).
The California Department of Real Estate (DRE) has approved The CE Shop’s courses: 45-Hour Real Estate Principles Course, 45-Hour Real Estate Practice Course, and the 45-Hour Real Estate Finance Course to meet the 135-hour requirement to obtain a real estate salesperson license.

ATTENTION: The California Department of Real Estate (DRE) regulates the pace at which students may take pre-license courses as follows:
- No course may be finished in less than 2-1/2 weeks.
- Two courses may not be finished in less than 5 weeks.
- Three courses may not be finished in less than 7-1/2 weeks.
