Online Pre-Licensing Education Course- California

Real estate salesperson licensee candidates in California are required to take a minimum of 135 hours of license training:

  • California Real Estate Principles (45 hours, required topic)
  • California Real Estate Practice (45 hours, required topic)
  • One 45-hour Real Estate Elective topic

Students are advised to visit the California Department of Real Estate’s website at www.dre.ca.gov for full license application requirements.

How to obtain a real estate license in California

To obtain a real estate salesperson license, you must first qualify for and pass a written examination. Those who pass the examination are provided a license application that must be submitted to and approved by the California Department of Real Estate (DRE).

 

 

Corporate real estate classes

The California Department of Real Estate (DRE) has approved The CE Shop’s courses: 45-Hour Real Estate Principles Course, 45-Hour Real Estate Practice Course, and the 45-Hour Real Estate Finance Course to meet the 135-hour requirement to obtain a real estate salesperson license.

ATTENTION: The California Department of Real Estate (DRE) regulates the pace at which students may take pre-license courses as follows:

  • No course may be finished in less than 2-1/2 weeks.
  • Two courses may not be finished in less than 5 weeks.
  • Three courses may not be finished in less than 7-1/2 weeks.
